Britt was initially diagnosed with chronic fatigue syndrome but after years of symptoms this year she was finally diagnosed with Lyme disease. It was a long journey, Britt was told she was mentally ill and should not attend college, that she should essentially give up on her dreams. Tenaciously, Britt persisted. She moved away, started taking care of herself and when she had done everything doctors told her to she insisted on finding answers.
