Lleolwyd Tregroes Waffles yn Nhe-Orllewin Cymru. Rydym wedi bod yn cynhyrchu Waffles yn yr ardal ers bron i 40 mlynedd gan ddefnyddio y cynhwysion gorau. Erbyn hyn mae'r gymuned leol yn adnabod ein cynnyrch fel rhan annatod o'r ardal. Fe ddechreuodd popeth nôl ym 1983. Ar ôl iddo bobi cyflenwad ffres o waffls yn ei gartref ym mhentref bach Tregroes, gwynebodd Kees Huysmans yr oerfel ar Noson Tân Gwyllt. Gyda haearn waffl a stondin marchnad o dan ei gesail aeth ati i argyhoeddi pobol Rheilffordd Henllan o’i rysait newydd. Roedd hi’n noson annisgwyliedig o lwyddiannus, a dyna lle ddechreuodd y cwmni. Ers hynny mae’r cwmni wedi ehangu gan fynd o nerth i nerth. Newidiwyd strwythur y cwmni yn 2015, penderfynodd y teulu i werthu 10% o’r cyfranddaliadau bob blwyddyn dros y 10 mlynedd nesaf er mwyn diogelu dyfodol y busnes ac mae'r cyfrifoldeb o ofalu am y gweithwyr yn nwylo'r ymddiriedolwyr. Mae’r cwmni erbyn hyn yn gwerthu yn fyd-eang ac yn gwerthu eu 6 cynnyrch unigryw i siopau amrywiol ar draws y DU. Erbyn hyn yr unig amser rydym yn gwerthu’n uniongyrchol i’r cyhoedd yw yn ystod y Sioe Frenhinol pan y cawn gyfle i weld wynebau cyfarwydd ein cwsmeriaid ffyddlon yn flynyddol. Mae’r farchnad o fewn Y Deyrnas Unedig yn tyfu’n gyson ac mae’r gystadleuaeth yn dwyshau wrth i’n cystadleuwyr fewnforio eu cynnyrch hefyd. Ni’n falch iawn bod Tregroes Waffles wedi tyfu’n fusnes llwyddiannus erbyn hyn.
Tregroes Waffles is based in the Teifi Valley, West Wales, where we bake our great Waffles. We have been producing Waffles in the area for nearly 40 years using only the best ingredients, and they have become a proud part of the local community. It all started back in 1983. Kees Huysmans, freshly arrived from Holland and armed with his waffle iron and market stall, braved the cold on Bonfire night and took his adapted stroop waffle recipe to the people of Henllan Railway to be tested. It was a surprisingly successful night, and it marked the beginning of the Tregroes Waffles story. Since then, the company has evolved and gone from strength to strength. The structure of the company changed in 2015, the family will sell 10% of shares to the trust every year for the next ten years, thereby safeguarding the future of the business in a structure where trustees are required to act in the interest of the beneficiaries. By now, the company sells their 6 products globally and throughout the UK. Once a year we return to our roots, selling waffles directly to our customers at the Royal Welsh Show where we often meet up with many familiar faces – our most loyal customers. The market in the UK is constantly growing for our products, with greater competition from imported products. Tregroes Waffles clearly has a strong selling point in this regard, as the only UK baked waffle: we are very proud of our product and we are constantly working to ensure that our Waffles are the best they can be.
