October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month and on this week's episode of The Frequency of Courage, Becky's Fund founder, Becky Lee joins the show. During this episode Becky and Megan discuss the facts surrounding domestic violence, including spreading awareness of the facts that 1 in 3 women and 1 in 4 men are survivors of domestic violence.
Becky Lee shares her experiences as a DV lawyer and what led her to create Becky's Fund. She explains the unique programs impacting young people's lives to help educate including the Men of Code and Be Your Own Hero programs to teach young people how to build healthy relationships and advocate for themselves. Becky has also been an advocate through her National Domestic Violence College Tour while also assisting survivors and their families through connecting them to. life-changing resources and support.
