Chapter 1 我的独白

我叫丁爱杰, 今天我要分享一个令我一直感到沮丧的故事。说实话, 我长得不好看, 简单地来说就是丑。我并不是一个渴求成为吸引眼球的人。

   * 沮丧 [adj.] dispirited; dejected; dismayed;    * 渴求 [V. ] to long for; to crave for; to greatly desire

也不是那种想听诸如” 哇! 你真漂亮!” 这种话的人。 任何一个有头脑的正常人都不会夸我漂亮。如果以“ 基因彩票” 举例, 那么我一个号码都没中过。

* 彩票 [n.] the lottery, lottery ticket;  一张彩票

我父母长得都很好看, 没有人知道我遗传了谁。我十分健康, 没有任何缺陷或畸形。只是我的脸让人感觉很可怕。而我的哥哥姐姐们都很正常, 长得很像我的父母。

* 遗传 [V. noun.] heredity; inheritance; to transmit; to hand down     * 缺陷 [noun.] a defect, a flaw; 一个缺陷  * 畸形 [adj. noun.] deformity, birth defect, abnormality;

多年以来, 我已经习惯了自己的影像, 但每次看到镜子里的自己, 我还是想叫驱魔道长。哈哈哈…… 好在我心态好, 可以乐观地对待这件事。
