Emotions are part of being human. But they aren’t always the best indicator of how we should live our life. It helps to understand that sometimes our emotions may not be telling us the truth. At times, we can get a feeling that isn’t real. We may think that it’s real, and it may feel very real. And based on this how real it feels, we may truly believe it’s real. But….it’s just a feeling. So, it’s helpful to remember that, as important as our emotions are, our feelings aren’t facts. Mistaking emotions for fact causes us to live in patterns that can cause counterproductive behaviors and really significant internal conflicts. And that sucks.
