Shortly after experiencing a life-threatening stroke, our guest today, Author and Psychologist, Dr. Alison Cook, found herself walking in a hay field, talking to God. As she wrestled with the "whys" of having a stroke in her forties, she felt God ask her a pointed question, "Alison, what do YOU want with this life YOU still have to live?" In today's conversation, we preview Alison's newest book (releasing in September 2022), "The Best of You: Break Free from Painful Patterns, Mend Your Past, and Discover Your True Self in God," and reflect on her recent medical crisis and ask ourselves that same question, "What do WE want with this life WE still have to live?"
