Has anyone ever told you, "you see the world through rose-colored glasses?" Well, then that makes two of us. I remember doing pre-marriage classes, and one of the personality questionnaires showed a high tendency to wear rose-colored glasses. I didn't give that test much thought; not until my oh-so-perfect life came crashing down did I give that finding from years before any thought. Well, in hindsight, it makes a TON of sense and what was once a beneficial coping mechanism for a challenging childhood became my most detrimental quilty. Seeing things this way keeps you from seeing the truth, which does you a huge disservice.
