Laughing Without Liquor

179 The Importance of Community

Listen Later

Having a community of support has been instrumental in my recovery. When I was able to be a part of a group of like-minded people it changed everything. I was able to connect with people in ways I hadn't before because these people got me. They understood the crazy I was feeling and the best part is that they had solutions if I choose to take suggestions. If you're early on in sobriety and you currently do not have a community of people who can relate to the experience you're going through I strongly suggest you find one. It changed my life!
