Guest speaker Bryce Reed preaches on how we can find solace in God when life can be filled with storms and trials.
We all get shaken up in life from time to time, but how do we avoid getting derailed when it happens? We will find the answer by looking back at the early church. In Acts Chapter 4, we see that Peter and John face opposition from the Temple Leaders. They recognize that God is the ultimate judge, they speak of what they have seen and heard, and they get around other Jesus followers. By doing these things, they are able to handle the pressure of the situation and although they were shaken, they were not stirred. If we do the same, and we anchor our faith in Jesus, we too can weather the storms of life and can be a witness for Him.
Pastor Bryan Bywater from Street Church preaches from Acts chapter 3 in a message entitled "Acts of the Holy Spirit"
The same Peter who denied Jesus three times is the same Peter who stood in front of a crowd of thousands and declared Jesus, Savior. In a matter of weeks Peter went from being fearful to fearless. This morning we look at the life of Peter and see how when the Holy Spirit is in you he empowers you to do mighty things for God!

What's on your bucket list? If you achieve it all, do you think you'd be satisfied? Do you think you'd be really happy? When we think about these questions there are actually some sobering words for us in Matthew's Gospel. We're going to see that in order to be really satisfied in life, we have to go all in, but the way that we do it is counterintuitive at first; it's different. We're called to deny ourselves, pick up our cross, and follow Jesus.
Is there anyone in your life that you struggle to love? Join us as Pastor Josh leads us through the end of the book of Jonah and provides a perspective on what it looks like to love the people who seem hardest to love
Sometimes in life we need to navigate a turnaround – a change in direction. As we look at Jonah Chapter 3 we will see that both Jonah and the people of Ninevah do this, but they do it in very different ways. Then will look in the mirror at our own lives. By doing a 180, by navigating a turnaround, we will see how God can radically transform our lives. But we need to be all-in; to believe that God can and will give us a second chance; an opportunity for us to change our direction. As we respond, God will bless us and open new doors for us.
Join us in week three of our series on Jonah! This week Pastor Josh unpacks how Jonah provides a picture of God's character including his relentless grace and perfect justice.
