There's no better final movie to review this year than a brand new 2023 (please ignore the 2022 Adelaide Film Festival) Australian horror film which has taken the world by storm this year. Talk To Me is the first feature film directed by twin brothers Danny and Michael Philippou, aka Aussie YouTubers RackaRacka. Set in South Australia, a group of teenagers begin to communicate with, and be possessed by, undead spirits. With an entirely local cast, we definitely got a kick out of the representation and were very impressed with the debut lead performances. But barring our bias for 'Straya, the movie delivers on the unique supernatural concept with its high quality production and direction. And the rather dark story and ending demands further analysis. So definitely check this one out on Netflix if you're in the mood.
