A comprehensive document

It is certainly not a crime to reach out to employees beyond working hours. All you have to do is humbly respond that you’re on leave and won’t be able to work.

Let the employer know about your availability.
Precisely communicate your situation with your employer.
Set pre-communicated boundaries.
Employers should create a culture that looks simply beyond salary and pay.
Employee benefits are an integral part of the work culture.
Employee feedback and suggestions must be considered.

Understanding and empathy

Employees need to have understanding and empathy towards each other. Companies will always require the person to go beyond working hours to address issues that warrant immediate attention. However, no company or startup will try to subject their employees to work rigorously on weekends unless there is an emergency. Companies cannot operate without their employees. Hence, being employee-centric is extremely important.
