Our guest is legendary former Royals midfielder Simon Osborn, who played for Reading during the 1994-95 season. The Royals finished second that season, but a restructure meant that only the champions went up to the Premiership. Reading played Bolton Wanderers in the play-off final at Wembley and went 2-0 up, but Stuart Lovell was unable to make it 3-0 as his penalty was saved - and Bolton came back to win 4-3 after extra-time to deny the Royals a place in the Premiership.
