Listen Later

"We must acknowledge the history of mistrust in women's healthcare to break free from its chains and build a future of empowerment and equality."

We have reached the finale of season one and are looking to the past to understand where we are today.

*** TRIGGER WARNING EPISODE ****

Today's guest is Molly Bachmann, DPT, a colleague of mine here at PHRC, incredible human and so passionate about the work we do. Molly shares with us an essay written by Hannah Srajer, a PhD student in history at Yale University and received the Louis Pelzer Memorial Award for 2022 for her brilliant work on the history of vaginismus. Read the article here!

While this episode may stir up feelings of unease in many, it is so important to understand where our medical system and society began rooting its understanding about female sexual pain.

To all people who suffer from pelvic pain, and have been dismissed, gaslight, are still struggling, or have found your answers, this episode is for you.
