How to respond to other people mocking you without being rude?

1.

有一个非常有名的男明星，

There was a very famous actor.

有一次他去参加一个颁奖礼。

Once he went to an award ceremony.

就是那种像奥斯卡, 那种电影颁奖礼。

It's like the Oscars, which is a film award ceremony.

在他上台颁奖的时候，

When he presented awards on stage,

因为他那天晚上穿的这个礼服有点那种睡衣风格的,

The dinner suit he worn on that evening was a kind of pyjamas' style.

所以有一位女主持人就调侃他说，“

so a hostess tried to make fun of him and said, "

你今天晚上是穿睡衣来的吧。

It seems like you are wearing a pair of pajamas tonight.

你看我已经五年没有来这个颁奖礼了，

You see, I haven't been to this award ceremony for five years,

所以今天晚上我特意穿得非常的隆重。

so I'm particularly dressed very ceremoniously tonight.

而且你看台下所有的男明星啊、女明星啊,

Look at all the actors and actresses off stage,

他们也都是穿得非常的隆重。

they are all dressed very ceremoniously."

然后这个男明星就回答，“

The actor replied, "

对，对，他们都是客人嘛。

Yes, yes, because they are all guests.

客人到别人家里去。

When guests go to other people's homes,

当然要穿得隆重一点。

of course, they should dress more ceremoniously.

你看你已经五年没有来这个颁奖礼了，

You know you haven't come here for five years,

而我呢, 这五年来一直都在这上面。

and I've been at this award ceremony for the past five years.

所以我已经把这里变得像家一样。

I've made this place like home.

回到家里穿什么？

What do you wear when you are back home?

当然是要穿得舒服一点。对不对？”

然后这个女主持人说,“

对, 对, 怎么舒服怎么穿。”
