She talks about why it's not enough to just do the thing. To actually create sustainable, long term habit change, we need to explore the deeper layers beyond just taking the action.

She uses examples of

  •  weight loss
  •  career advancement
  •  and of course, quitting drinking
  • to illustrate why we must create a new space in our mind that we don’t want to escape from. Because just simply doing the thing won’t actually change how we feel on the inside. At least not sustainably.
