Episode 19. Punctuation: The Period

What is a period and what does it do? Let's take a look at it today. 

One of my students is currently reading the story "The Secret Garden" by Frances Hodgson Burnett and so makes a great example for the episode.

Here are the selections I use in the episode.

Chapter 1, page 1 "“Nobody seemed to care about Mary. She was born in India, where her father was a British official.”

Page 2 “ What are you doing here? she asked crossly. “Go away! And send Kamala to me at once!”
