Tibet steht für eine faszinierende Kultur, die stark vom Buddhismus geprägt ist. Aber auch für diejenigen, die mit Religion überhaupt nichts am Hut haben, hält die tibetische Kultur viele Schätze bereit.
Ein kleines Stück Tibet liegt mitten in Bockenheim: das Tibethaus. Hier bietet ein höchst engagiertes Team das ganze Jahr über ein vielfältiges Programm an, wo wirklich für jeden etwas dabei ist.
Einer von ihnen ist Thoesam Rinpoche. Ich freue mich wirklich sehr, dass er sich die Zeit genommen hat, mir mehr über das Tibethaus und auch über seinen faszinierenden Weg von Tibet nach Frankfurt zu erzählen. Wir sprechen über die Geschichte und das Angebot des Tibethauses, über Thoesams größte Kulturschock-Momente in Deutschland und darüber, wo man in Frankfurt das beste tibetische Essen bekommt.

Gude and Tashi Deleg! Welcome to this episode of Global Village 069 - The World at Home in Frankfurt, the podcast that celebrates Frankfurt’s international diversity.
Tibet stands for a fascinating culture that is strongly influenced by Buddhism. But even for those who have nothing at all to do with religion, Tibetan culture has many treasures in store.
A small piece of Tibet lies in the middle of Bockenheim: the Tibethaus. Here, a highly committed team offers a varied program all year round, where there really is something for everyone.
One of them is Thoesam Rinpoche. I am really pleased that he has taken the time to tell me more about the Tibet House and also about his fascinating journey from Tibet to Frankfurt. We talk about the history and what the Tibethaus has to offer, about Thoesam's biggest culture shock moments in Germany and about where to get the best Tibetan food in Frankfurt.
