The guest joining me today, is a voice actor and coach that has come to recent prominence with an ad campaign that he voiced for a major brand that ran during this year's Super Bowl game.

For 8 years prior to launching his own media company, he was in corporate sales in the Aerospace industry when he happened to sign p for an introductory voiceover class that would change the trajectory of his career and life.

My guest Brian "doc" Dougherty has a diverse background as a percussion director, musician, teacher and for the past decade has specialized in Pro Audio sales and marketing for some of the most well-respected names in the business.  he is currently the Key Account Manager and Musical Instrument Retail Expert for Sennheiser Electronic Corporation.

Jodi Krangle is a singer, songwriter, voice artist, host and producer of the podcast 'Audio Branding, the Hidden Gem of Marketing', a member of the Filk music and acoustic trio Urban Tapestry, a SOVAS Award Winner, self-taught computer nerd, website designer and creator ofd the Muses Muse; a well-known songwriting resource website.

Jodi's first voiceover work was in 1995 when she spent a year in a volunteer position with the Canadian National Institute for the Blind (CNIB) creating books on tape.  Any by tape, she means reel to reel "tape".

In 2007 she ventured into voiceover work full time and has built herself quite a distinguished and prolific career.

Laura Wills Mooney has been acting on stage throughout her life.  After completing graduate school, she worked as a clinical social worker for Kaiser Permanente Medical Group, eventually serving as Chief of Psychiatric Work at their Richmond facility in California's East Bay.

After her retirement, she studied improvisational theater at Bay Area theater Sports in San Francisco, also known as BATS, voiceover at Voice One In San Francisco and is now immersed in the world of audiobook narration.

Laura joins 19Stories on the eve of the release of Pixar's new animated feature, Soul, of which Laura has a role in.  In addition to other topics, we'll be chatting about how that part came about for her.

Finding your voice in the world is never easy.  It's even more daunting if you're Kay Bess, having had a severe stutter as a child.  her perseverance in overcoming that obstacle not only allowed her to find her voice, but also an expansive career as a voice actor.

Over her 35+ year career, Kay has consistently booked VO gigs in commercial, narration and has done promos for every major network as well as major news stations.  Several years ago she dove headlong into the world of gaming and animation and now has an impressive list of credits in that genre.
