Happy New Year and Welcome to season 6 of 2 Black Nerds!!! There's so much to get to in this two-part season premiere. We took a break, but so much has happened since we've been gone so let's get into it. Neo is back again in the latest installment of the Matrix series with 'THE MATRIX RESURRECTIONS' (1:40). The heavily anticipated and star-studded film 'DON'T LOOK UP' (20:54) from Netflix has also arrived. Denzel Washington is back in the director's chair with 'A JOURNAL FOR JORDAN' (35:35), which stars Michael B. Jordan and Chanté Adams. 'THE LOST DAUGHTER' (47:03) is another new film from Netflix which is getting some award nods, specifically for the performance of Olivia Colman, so of course we discuss that.  Desmund got the chance to check out 'SING 2' (58:25) to see if it lives up to the first, and Jordan checked out 'NIGHTMARE ALLEY' (1:08:05), the latest film for Guillermo Del Toro. It doesn't have any creatures in it?? Over the break we also got the chance to say farewell to one of the most groundbreaking shows not only in the black community but for rom-com, lifestyles shows in Issa Rae's 'INSECURE' (1:18:43). While ending an amazing show, HBO also premiered a new series, the first DCEU television show in fact with 'PEACEMAKER' (1:36:16). The first three episodes dropped, and it's time to see what John Cena and James Gunn have in store for us. Disney is back with their 60th animated film in 'ENCANTO' (2:04)—beautiful, full of latinx representation, and the songs slap but is it enough to keep up with classic Disney films? 'HOUSE OF GUCCI' (17:53), the latest film from director Ridley Scott with a star-studded cast hit theaters this weekend and Jordan was able to catch it. Also, Halle Berry's directorial debut just premiered on Netflix titled 'BRUISED' (30:28). It's been 6 years since they concluded the Paul W.S. Anderson and Milla Jovovich Resident Evil movies, but they're back with a reboot that resembles the video games more as Desmund got a chance to check out 'RESIDENT EVIL: WELCOME TO RACOON CITY' (42:07). Jordan was also able to check out the new film from director Paul Thomas Anderson, 'LICORICE PIZZA' (55:48). We also have a couple of new trailers to talk about, as well as discuss the life and impact of the fashion genius Virgil Abloh, may he rest in power.

'ETERNALS', the latest from Marvel Studios is here and as usual you know we have to do a complete breakdown and discussion on the film. Starting with a recap (2:15) of the road 'ETERNALS' and how it came to be, our spoiler free thoughts (30:23), then of course our complete spoiler review and examination of the characters (41:23). There's so much buzz surrounding this movie being the first Marvel film to be rated as rotten from critics on Rotten Tomatoes, but do we agree?

It's our 2-year anniversary!!! Thank you to everyone who supported us in any way, whether it was a listen, a retweet, a like, or you even purchased our merchandise we really appreciate the love. This episode is pretty straight forward as we discuss and breakdown the latest from the Sonyverse 'VENOM: LET THERE BE CARNAGE'. Similar to our other breakdowns we always give a slight rundown on the character and how we got to this point (13:42), then we proceed to give our spoiler free (27:10) and spoiler thoughts on the film (40:00). And of course we had to talk about that insane post credit scene that might've changed the landscape of Superhero films as we know it (1:44:25). Again, thank you for rocking with us these past couple years.

What a week it's been! The 'SPIDER-MAN: NO WAY HOME' (1:54) teaser trailer has finally arrived and it has broken the internet!! We don't usually do trailer breakdowns but how could we not?? 'WHAT IF...?' (39:51) Episode 3 is here and it's titled 'What If...the World Lost Its Mightiest Heroes?', and what an episode it is! The highly anticipated 'CANDYMAN' (53:56) from Monkeypaw Productions and director Nia DaCosta has hit theaters and it's been a mixed bag for people to say the least, so you know we had a lot to say about it. Another movie from John David Washington hit Netflix a couple weeks ago with 'BECKETT' (1:28:54) a 70s inspired thriller, with maybe not so much to say. And last but not least, cause he wouldn't let you make it the least if he tried, 'DONDA' (1:34:07) is finally here. After several stadium listening parties universal has decided to release Donda without Kanye's permission, but it's here nonetheless. Plus of course there's always news (1:47:57) to talk about. RIP to the talented and legendary Ed Asner.
