2 Blue Dudes podcast

We are back with a brand new Blue Dudes episode! Eric and Dan break down the end of the Giants season, analyze the off season free agency moves so far, and discuss the upcoming NFL draft. Final thoughts on the end of the Daniel Jones tenure, how big of a screw up was the win against Indianapolis to cost them the number 1 pick, how much better are they with their offseason moves, including the double quarterback signings? Assuming Cam Ward is unavailable, which player would make us happy at 3? What is the best case scenario in our view with their first 5 picks, including 2 third round picks? Finally, how confident are we in Schoen and Daboll going forward, especially after a 3-14 season and a copious amount of draft busts, especially along the offensive line.

And of course, we welcome Seth on board to help us preview the Knicks playoff chances. Are we satisfied with the results of this year? Is their defense good enough to sustain a long run in the playoffs? If they experience a disappointing result, what are the chances Thibs is replaced as Coach? Finally, are they set up for sustained success going forward?

All that and so much more! Let’s go Knicks!

We are back with a very special episode as Dan joins Eric live and in person in beautiful Los Angeles.

While he could not join us in person, Seth joins us to break down the KAT trade, thoughts and predictions on the upcoming Knicks season. Is the best starting 5 in our lifetime? We also cover over/under predictions on wins, any flaws we can see in this team, and Seth’s preview of the Westchester Knicks as well as his experience at the Alumni basketball game.

Eric and Dan then transition into our wonderful New York Football Giants. What has gone wrong? Who is to blame? What has Mara said or done to help in this disaster? What roles do Schoen, Daboll, and Jones (his play and contract) have in this mess?

Finally, Eric and Dan go a little off topic and discuss the state of quarterbacks in the NFL and what can be done to possibly change how they develop young quarterbacks.

Keep your heads up Giants fans, it can only get better from here! Go Knicks!

It's time to preview the upcoming 2024 New York Football Giants season! What do we think about the draft picks, and what impact will they have on the team this season? How improved is the offensive line this year? Does the defensive line have the potential to be special? Should we be concerned about the secondary (even with Adoree Jackson back)?

How much is Daniel Jones holding the team back from contenting? Dan breaks down the Giants run on Hard Knocks, before discussing his trips to training camp and the first preseason game. Eric and Dan share which players they are most excited to watch, as well as who might cause them concern this season. Finally, what would need to happen for Schoen and Daboll to be on the hot seat?

Oh, and we close things out with W-L predictions from Dan and Eric too.

Dan is joined by our Knicks insider Seth Abbott for a deep dive into the end of the Knicks season and a preview of the Knicks offseason. Did the injuries finally catch up to them? Were there any adjustments Thibs could have made against Indiana that might have helped?

Seth and Dan then preview the upcoming offseason, only to be still in the process of wrapping up the episode when the news of the Mikal Bridges trade dropped!! We break down our initial thoughts on the final piece of the Nova Four being reunited.

Thank you Leon Rose for the immaculate timing!

We're back with a special Knicks playoff and Giants draft preview special!

How far can the Knicks can go in the playoffs? Would not making the eastern conference finals be a disappointment? Does anyone still remember Julius Randle at this point? Let’s go Knicks!!

This Giants offseason, we say goodbye to Saquon and McKinney, and then discuss new additions to the team including the centerpiece of this offseason, Brian Burns. Have all of their signings been home runs? What are we looking forward to during next week's draft? Enjoy the draft and we’ll see you soon for a draft recap!!

Eric and Dan break down the Daboll/Wink conflict. Are we concerned with Daboll after the recent reports of his sideline demeanor? How do we think the Giants should approach the offseason in regards to free agency and the draft? Should they trade up with the Bears to draft a quarterback?

We are then joined by our Knicks insider (and Westchester Knicks diehard fan) Seth Abbott to break down the OG Anunoby trade and the impact it has had on the Knicks so far. How much does it move the needle? Do they still need to make a trade for an impact scorer? Can they contend with the team as presently constituted?

Enjoy the snow everyone in the East!

Illness can't stop us from chatting Knicks and Giants!

Seth steps up to the plate and fills us in on the ups and downs of the Knicks season so far. Do they have a chance to contend this year, or are they still a star player away?

For the G-Men, what do we make of DeVito Mania? Can he be an impactful starting quarterback in the league? Is Jones guaranteed the starting job when he gets back? Should Wink or Kafka be brought back next year?

We hope those who celebrate have a Very Merry Christmas, and a Happy (Blue) New Year to all!!

Eric and Dan return to break down the first 8 weeks of the season. We analyze all that has led to the 2-6 start - from the putrid offensive line play, injuries and ineffective play at quarterback, to the lack of production at the wide receiver position. Why has Daboll has been less aggressive this year? Is Jones still the future at quarterback? Is the schedule friendly enough for them to make the playoffs??

On the bright side, we discuss the recent play of the defense, including players like Bobby Okereke, Deonte Banks, Sexy Dexy, and Kayvon Thibodeaux. Did the Giants screw up the trade deadline by not trading Saquon Barkley? You guessed it, this topic induces a classic Dan’s Rant.

We also touch on Evan Neal’s idiotic comments from several weeks ago, as well as discussing what we can realistically expect from the Giants for the rest of the season? All that and so much more!

Dan, Eric and Seth dive deep into the end of the Knicks season and offseason. They break down the Divencenzo signing, what they expect from the rest of the roster, and ponder why the Knicks would trade Obi Toppin for a proverbial bag of basketballs. Are the Knicks ready to take the next step, or are they still a player short?

Eric and Dan then move onto the GMennnnnn! They break down the draft picks, the resigning of Sexy and Andrew Thomas, and the latest on Saquon. Do the Giants have the roster to be a Super Bowl contender? Is Jones going to continue his ascension this year? What could hold back the team?

Looking forward to coming back after the start to the Giants' season!

We're back with a Knicks playoff preview! How did the Knicks secure the 5 seed? What impact did Brunson, IQ, and Randle have on the team's success? Are they capable of making an extended run in the playoffs??

What role will Obi Toppin play in the playoffs? What can we expect from RJ Barrett?

We close with a tribute to The Captain himself, the late Willis Reed. Seth and Dan recall the occasions they had to meet the all-time great.
