Carl Jung says it so beautifully, ‘What you see wrong in the world is wrong with yourself’. I also love Dr. Wayne Dyer’s quote, ‘We don't see things as they are, we see things as we are’.
Jung talks about the shadow as being the part of you that lurks in the background, pretending not to be part of you. The Japanese say that we wear three masks. One mask for the world, another mask for ourselves, and then there's the mask that we actually are.
What we need to do is go beyond the masks to identify and integrate everything we are. Then love and accept it all. It's not a blame game.”
