I first met Derrick Allen when I was 14 years on a car ride from our neighborhoods to the gym where Coach Steve Stewart came and picked us up.  Coach Stewart taught us a lot about basketball, but the biggest takeaways were not always inside the lines. 

Now, having spent a storied career playing professional hoops in Europe, Derrick has become Coach Allen where he is shaping the lives of young men learning to live lives that counts. 

Please join me in the honor of welcoming my life-long friend, the guy who traded elbows with me in the paint, and the young man who has changed the legacy for his entire family - Mr. Derrick Allen.
