Dr. Fiona Soper is an ecosystem ecologist, and an Assistant Professor in the Department of Biology and School of Environment at McGill University.
Her lab’s research focuses on the how nutrients mediate the interactions between plants and their environment, and especially how the interactions shape global change. Though Dr. Soper's enthusiasm for ecology was born in the arid landscapes of Australia, her work now spans many ecosystems from savannas to the temperate biomes, and in particular, tropical forests.
