The conversations you have after the kids have gone to bed.
In Episode 3 of 2 Kids From The Burbs, Laura Racky and Christian Cunningham ask each other five simple questions that lead into the usual theatrics.
The five questions:
- What is your most memorable meal?
- What is the best moment of your life?
- What would you steal from each other’s wardrobe?
- What was the last thing that made you properly laugh?
- If you swapped jobs for a day, what part of the other person’s job would you enjoy most?
A question about food becomes a conversation about grandparents, becoming a lawyer, making your parents proud, and ridiculous pre-GFC dinners.
A question about life’s best moments turns into family, kids, near-death experiences, being present and the memories that stay with us forever.
A question about clothes somehow leads to stolen hoodies, sensory-friendly T-shirts and whether Christian could pull off a fur scarf.
We talk about ugly dogs, why kids are often the funniest people we know, creativity, structure, career choices, trust, discretion and what we secretly admire about each other.
We're getting in a rhythm now...
