This week the guys are looking at Gozilla Vs. Kong, the latest chapter in the "Monsterverse" series (the monsterverse is TOTALLY a thing and not just a cry for help from the studio making these films). Godzilla Vs. Kong was directed by Adam Wingard, and is starring Alexander Skarsgård, Millie Bobbie Brown, Rebecca Hall, and Brian Tyree Henry. What's the plot? We dunno, some stuff happens and then Godzilla and King Kong fight each other! Why? Shut up, that's why! (sorry, don't shut up we love you we just HONESTLY DON'T KNOW WHY THEY'RE FIGHTING, AND WE WATCHED THE MOVIE). Does that make it unenjoyable? Tune in to find out!

In this episode, Ben, Ian and Matt discuss Zack Snyder's revisioning of the 2017 DC film Justice League, and try to unravel just what Zack Snyder's vision for the DC universe was (apart from a 4:3 film ratio). Zack Snyder's Justice League is starring Ben Affleck, Henry Caville, Amy Adams, Gal Godot, Ray Fisher, Jason Momoa, and Ezra Miller, delivering mixed levels of performance (spoiler alert: Ray Fisher steals the show). Is this version better? Does this movie deserve such a swift reboot? Should every superhero movie be four hours long? Tune in and find out!

Alright, it's time for Ian to forget which David is which and Ben to have an existential crisis, because they're buckling down into the meta-flesh game pod thing to experience David Cronenberg's 1999 thriller eXistenZ. Come tune in as these two goons try to figure out if there is anything besides exposition in this retro look at what middle aged white dudes thought video games were. Featuring bewildering performances from Jennifer Jason Leigh and Jude Law, accompanied by the always wild (if not charming) choices of Willem Dafoe and the heinous haircut they gave Christopher Eccleston. Also Ian Holm gives you a wonderful Hungarian accent, regardless of how accurate it is. So lube up your bio-port (gas station chapstick is interchangeable, tonguing/saliva is not) and tune in to 2 Many Flix!

For this week's examination we're taking a look at A Sun, the 2019 Taiwanese drama film directed and co-written by Chung Mong-hong and starring Chen Yi-wen, Samantha Ko, Wu Chien-ho, and Liu Kuan-ting, just to name a few. A Sun tells the story of a a family of four who struggle to deal with the ramifications after their teenaged son is arrested and imprisoned for a violent crime. This is a compelling drama about expectations, tragedy, and uncompromising pride. It runs 2 hours and 36 minutes.
