This week the guys are looking at Gozilla Vs. Kong, the latest chapter in the "Monsterverse" series (the monsterverse is TOTALLY a thing and not just a cry for help from the studio making these films). Godzilla Vs. Kong was directed by Adam Wingard, and is starring Alexander Skarsgård, Millie Bobbie Brown, Rebecca Hall, and Brian Tyree Henry. What's the plot? We dunno, some stuff happens and then Godzilla and King Kong fight each other! Why? Shut up, that's why! (sorry, don't shut up we love you we just HONESTLY DON'T KNOW WHY THEY'RE FIGHTING, AND WE WATCHED THE MOVIE). Does that make it unenjoyable? Tune in to find out!

It's another week and another dollar (read: episode) here in the good ol' land of 2 Many Flix! Ben and Ian are set once again to tackle the SUPER IMPORTANT question of which trailer was better: Voyagers or Zola? But that's not all, they're also set to serve you the *~s~i~z~z~l~i~n~g~* take that the Golden Globes ain't ish. For all of this and so much more can be found within the confines of this week's episode!

It's back, it's big, it's...four hours long?! Yep! In this episode, Ben, Ian and Matt discuss Zack Snyder's revisioning of the 2017 DC film Justice League, and try to unravel just what Zack Snyder's vision for the DC universe was (apart from a 4:3 film ratio). Zack Snyder's Justice League is starring Ben Affleck, Henry Caville, Amy Adams, Gal Godot, Ray Fisher, Jason Momoa, and Ezra Miller, delivering mixed levels of performance (spoiler alert: Ray Fisher steals the show). Is this version better? Does this movie deserve such a swift reboot? Should every superhero movie be four hours long? Tune in and find out!

Alright, it's time for Ian to forget which David is which and Ben to have an existential crisis, because they're buckling down into the meta-flesh game pod thing to experience David Cronenberg's 1999 thriller eXistenZ. Come tune in as these two goons try to figure out if there is anything besides exposition in this retro look at what middle aged white dudes thought video games were. Featuring bewildering performances from Jennifer Jason Leigh and Jude Law, accompanied by the always wild (if not charming) choices of Willem Dafoe and the heinous haircut they gave Christopher Eccleston. Also Ian Holm gives you a wonderful Hungarian accent, regardless of how accurate it is. So lube up your bio-port (gas station chapstick is interchangeable, tonguing/saliva is not) and tune in to 2 Many Flix!

Oh hello! And welcome dear listen to another episode of Stream Theory! For this week's examination we're diving headfirst into the Netflix Original adaptation of the legendary August Wilson play, Ma Rainey's Black Bottom (2020). Directed by George C. Wolfe and starring Viola Davis and the late great Chadwick Boseman, just to name a few, Ma Rainey's Black Bottom tells the story of one fateful recording session with the mother of blues, Ma Rainey herself. As tensions rise between her band members, the white record execs, and the star herself, this film, in its sleek 1 hour and 34 minute run time, dares to tackle spirituality, racist power structures, and the autonomy of the artist and their art.

It's that time, or window of time, in the week again! Ben and Ian are here, with absolutely no dang fear, and they're prepared for the film industry to rear its ceaseless head and give them the tall tasks they tackle bi weekly: Tasks like comparing a Tom Clancy film with another movie that literally uses a portion of its runtime to explain that birthmarks are something you are born with. Whether you're jonesing for the latest trailer dissection, or simply want to learn which Baz Luhrman set saw its hair and make-up artist get kidnapped, you gotta tune in to 2 Many Flix!
