The Federal Ministry of works and housing has announced the reopening of the third mainland bridge to traffic by 12 midnight of Sunday January 31.

The bridge has been completely shut from midnight of Friday, with the closure initially planned for 72 hours. Now, according to the ministry, the rehabilitation work was completed earlier than scheduled and motorists can now start using the bridge from midnight of Sunday

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), has seized cocaine and heroin worth over ₦30 billion at the Murtala Muhammed international airport Lagos.

A top official of the agency said one of the seizures, which is 26.840 kilograms of cocaine, was the biggest single seizure from an individual in the past 15 years.
