The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), says it will suspend the Edo and Ondo Governorship Election process if the actions of political actors lead to a breakdown of law and order.

INEC says it observes with deep concern, the escalating levels of violent actions and incendiary statements by political parties, candidates and their supporters, in the run-up to the elections.

The recent revelations on the activities of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) may have come as a surprise to many Nigerians, but it is not a shocking development for Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike.

Governor Wike believes the agency has since deviated from its original mandate and has become a source of wealth for some corrupt politicians.
