Prodigy is doing it's mid season break with a two-parter! It ends in a very abrupt manner, but it will only be a problem for exactly 7 days. Dal and the Crew combine all of the lessons learned so far and decide to go rescue all of the other children from the Diviner, only for the Diviner to take the Protostar from them in a trade. Luckily, Murf likes to eat so many Proto-Cores. Forrest and Katie join us to talk Murf, Rok-Tahk, what we want for Prodigy merch and how incredibly hot Goth Janeway is.

We dive into the ultimate two-parter, so big that they had to make a movie about it. Ricardo Montalbán just shows up and steals everything, from crew members of the Enterprise to Chekov's free will, and we are here for it. We gush about everyones performances, director's cuts versus theatrical cuts, and of course, those gorgeous uniforms.

Star Trek gets its first series aimed directly at kids, and us adults absolutely love it. From the music to the character design, we break it all down in the name of our new phaser god Murf. It was incredibly smart to not have Janeway overshadow the new cast in this episode, but ultimately it just left us all wanting more Prodigy!

We have reached the edge of the map! Here is our quick little plan for covering modern Star Trek. If there is a two-parter, in which one episode ends with 'To Be Continued...' and the following episode starts with 'Previously on...', or if there is a pair of episodes titled EPISODE NAME HERE 1 and EPISODE NAME HERE 2, we will be covering it! Split episodes will be covered in two podcasts, while dual-aired episodes, like the Prodigy Pilot, will be covered in one episode. Season 2 of Lower Decks ended with a "To Be Continued...", so of course we covered it, from the thicc queen that is the USS Archimedes, the Cerritos showing a little leg to save the day, the return of a beloved TNG character and... whales. Forrest and Stacy join us and try to break down everything we loved about this episdoe!

We finally made it to the last 2-parter! We discuss all things Picard, from Rios to Raffi to Soji and everything in between. Seven of Nine shows up and has aged incredibly well, we make a connection to the Power Rangers and most importantly, we finally give Data the send of he deserves.

MICHELLE YEOH EPISODE YAY!!! Dylan and Michael are here to talk space nazi-sim as we traverse to the Mirror Universe. We dive a lot into the politics of the mirror universe, like how do you run an empire that is built on backstabbing? How cool is it to actually see someone get stabbed at an Opera?! We also dive deep into the pros and cons of what makes things canon and how that can effect story telling. We also discuss, of course, surprise cameo by David Cronenberg and the weird doughnut rock known as The Guardian of Forever.

What is this... a 3rd part to a classic TNG Two-Parter!? For this we travel to Ni'Var, or Vulcan if ya' nasty, to... sit in a conference room with the crew of the Discovery? There is a lot to unpack here, about 1000 years worth of lore, and it is mostly glossed over to build up the character of Michael Burnham. The B plot finds Tilly trying to figure out if she is First Officer Material. There is lots to love about this episode, but Michael and Sara bring wit to discuss things like "How do you have a galactic civilization without Warp Travel?", "Would the Romulans be considered refugees?" and of course... "Are the Matrix sequels good!?"
