Have you ever heard of the annual event called โFukuotoko (lucky man) raceโ held at a shrine in Hyogo?
As soon as the shrine gates open at 6:00 a.m., many men start running at once.
The first man to reach the shrine building becomes the โFukuotokoโ.
It is a very powerful and interesting event because everyone runs at full speed.

In Nishinomiya jinja shrine in Hyogo, there is an event called โFukuotoko erabi (Lucky man race)โ every year.
They choose 100 men who want to run there on January 10th by lottery.
At 6am, at the same time as the gate is open, 100 men start to run.
The man who arrives at the main building in the shrine is the โFukuotokoโ, which means like the lucky man for the year.
