Podcast Homework/Challenges

Take your camera out and your phone and try shooting the same thing with both cameras. See for yourself the comparison. Try editing the two files and see what each images limit is. Test out computer software editing vs phone app editing as well. There is only one way to find the right camera/photography style for you and that is to go out and shoot!

Podcast Homework/Challenges

Challenge yourself to have these difficult conversations. Find some new artist, read some new books and support local black artists, businesses and communities. Send us your feedback and any other recourses you think we need to know about! You can always DM us or send us an email.

This week we are doing a Black History Month episode. We will be touching on topics such as race relations, the history of black communities, and more. If this conversation makes you uncomfortable we URGE you to continue listening and begin understanding that the best time to learn is when you are uncomfortable. We do want to mention that we know we are not perfect and if we make a mistake with vocabulary or misrepresentation we encourage you to message or email us so we can continue to learn. We recognize that we are two white men and understand our privilege based and we recognize the position we are in.

Podcast Homework/Challenges

Challenge: Reach out to 10 people and let them know about your skills and services. Notice what they like and maybe mention it in the message you send. Throw your name into the hat and let people know that you are available to help out in the ways they may need.

Tips from the Pasternack’s!

Set clear expectations and over communicate. Network with not only people you want to do business with but also people you respect. Reach out to other people in your field and learn from them. Talk about your goals and dreams with your partner, business partners, coworkers and your network!
