In this episode, I couldn't jump ahead to our interviews until I addressed the elephant in the room - virtual learning! We are in our 3rd week of virtual learning in my house, and I have learned a lot from the parent perspective as well.  Here are 3 things to focus on when facilitating virtual learning:

1) Assume Positive Intent

2) Build an Alliance - you and your students are on the same team!

• Patiently explain and model (multiple times) where to find information. This lays the foundation of independent learners.

3) Choose 1-3 primary skills for students to master if the virtual learning is temporary.
