Michael van Gerwen and Peter Wright will fight it out at Alexandra Palace on New Years Day in the Final of the PDC World Championship, having both safely negotiated potentially tricky semi-finals in comfortable fashion.

Surprise package Wright beat Simon Whitlock 6-2, whilst van Gerwen dominated Adrian Lewis and gained a comprehensive 6-0 victory to earn his place in the final.

Former Sky Sports commentator John Gwynne has two of his three ante-post picks in the final, and joined Alex Dunn to preview what should be pulsating conclusion to the tournament.
