They really needed the Butler trade, but it looks like they are no longer in the running.  This team played very hard last year and came close to the playoffs despite not having the on-paper talent.   Jimmy would've made all of that try hard stuff actually effective, and I think Doc Rivers is the type of coach who would work really well with him.  Oh well.  They look to have drafted well (praise to Jerry West) and that at least makes their future brighter.  For rthis season, though, it's hard to know how effective Doc's voice will be long term, because players do eventually get beaten down by the losing, and if that happens, it could get pretty dark in LA.
