This workshop will explain what those basics are, along with how to present facets of the Gospel we don’t normally emphasize, but which connect much more easily with those from Non-Western cultures.

With speaker, Thomas Terry: Did you know that most people under the age of 30 self-identify as a creative? Do you understand how and why creatives think the way they do? Did you know that creatives typically feel disconnected from the local church and that many artists in the church wrestle with their Christian identity? How can you as a pastor provide healthy discipleship for the artists in your church and help them both, grow in godliness and flourish as a member in the body of Christ? These questions and more will be addressed in this workshop as we discuss best practices for disciplining the creatives in your Church. This workshop will also have a time designated for Q&A.

Some of us know men who have fallen, know their wives and children, know those who served alongside of them, know people in those churches, and we’re at a loss for words to describe the carnage that followed. Perhaps some of us are the ones who have fallen. This workshop will include two 15-20 minute talks punctuated and followed by questions, conversation, prayer, moral failure that wasn’t talked about, and give personal input on the subject with everyone in the room. We will talk about “The Pathology of Moral Failure.” We can’t understand moral failure without understanding idolatry working from Exodus 20 and Luke 12. (Martin Luther said that we don’t break commandments two through ten without breaking the first commandment). We will also talk about “The Path to Restoration and True Prosperity” working from Proverbs 28:3 and Psalm 51.
