Here's something to think about, ThinkSquad: what's your number one goal for your kids? As I speak, we've just started our two oldest in soccer camp. Neither one of them has any experience with soccer (Jakob has done karate and martial arts), but Aliza and I recognize the value of team sports, and soccer is a great one for developing teamwork, perseverance, thoughtfulness, and courage. These are all virtues we want to help our kids develop—but developing these isn't our greatest goal for them. Our greatest goal in our parenting is to teach our kids to serve and glorify God through Jesus Christ—in every area of life. That has implications for how they play sports, as well as for how they treat their teammates… and for the conversations they get into after practice. As their father, I want to know: are my kids ready to articulate and defend the Christian message? How about yours? Are they ready?
In today's episode, that's what I'm talking about.
We look at three keys: Principles, Practice and Prayer.
