2019 Toyota Avalon
Test Drive & Review
The all-new 2019 Toyota Avalon is so well done that you might
want to consider it over its luxury sibling, the Lexus ES.
Toyota's all-new 2019 Toyota Avalon is a big, smooth, comfortable and powerful vehicle. It begs the question; do I really need a luxury badged vehicle?
Personally, I'm all about value and if you are too then this is definitely the vehicle you want to take a serious look at for a mid-to-large sized sedan.
Our own Professor, Clinton Quan, picked one up from our friends at West Coast Toyota in Long Beach and delivers his expert analysis in this iDriveSoCal podcast.  Click play below and scroll down for pics of this classy and stylish ride.

All-New 2019 Toyota Avalon
Clinton Quan: The 2019 Toyota Avalon, which is an all-new vehicle for this generation. There are four different trim levels. It's definitely one of the top-selling vehicles in that segment.

It's got a lot of power and you can definitely feel it, very smooth especially for being a big sedan.

Tom Smith: Welcome to iDriveSoCal, the podcast. All about mobility from the automotive capital of the United States, Southern California. Tom Smith here, and I'm excited to be with my good buddy, the Professor, Mr. Clinton Quan. Say, "Hello" Clinton.

Clinton Quan: Hi Tom.

Tom Smith: Hello my friend. As you can hear in the background, we are indeed at one of our dealer partners. We are at West Coast Toyota in Long Beach, California and the good Professor... actually, I did too, but the good Professor just got back from a test drive of the 2019 Toyota Avalon.

Clinton Quan: Yes, the 2019 Toyota Avalon, which is an all-new vehicle for this generation, and I drove the XLE. There are four different trim levels. In addition to the XLE, the XSE, the Limited and the Touring.

Tom Smith: So, in this case, the XLE is actually the lowest trim level?

Clinton Quan: The XLE is the base trim, yes.

Tom Smith: The base trim.

"...the 2019 Toyota Avalon, which is an all-new vehicle for this generation... In addition to the XLE, the XSE, the Limited and the Touring."

Clinton Quan: That is correct.

Tom Smith: Because usually, the XLE is up there in trim level, right?

Clinton Quan: The XLE could be a top of the line trim or a mid-level trim in some of the Toyota vehicles.

Tom Smith: So, we have the XLE, XSE-

Clinton Quan: Which is a sportier version, then you have the Limited, which you could say is the top of the line and then the Touring, which is the ultra-luxurious top of the line version.
Toyota's Largest Sedan
Tom Smith: Okay. So the Avalon is the big Toyota? It's the biggest sedan that they offer in their line?

Clinton Quan: Yes, it is considered, they call it, their full-size sedan or you could call it a premium sedan. It's definitely one of the top-selling vehicles in that segment, the full size sedan segment.

Tom Smith: Again, if you hear the background noise, we are at West Coast Toyota in Long Beach. Our good friends and partners here at West Coast Toyota Long Beach.

So, you hear the background noise, the P.A. system going off from time to time. It sounds ... when we're doing the recordings, it always sounds like it's louder. Then when we're actually in post-production recording these podcasts, it's like you can barely hear it.

Clinton Quan: Yeah.

Tom Smith: So, it's almost pointless for me to point it out, but I've got to point it out because it's relevant right now.

Tom Smith: So, the Avalon is the large sedan in Toyota's lineup and it actually, in the Lexus world,
