Ed Howard is the top prep short stop in this years 2020 MLB Draft. In this series, this is the first time I have the Texas Rangers taking a high school prospect just because of all the uncertainty with the coronavirus. Howard has solid tools all around the board, which is coveted in a premium position. He is also only 18 years old so there is plenty of room for upside. He is an Oklahoma commit so if the money is not there he could take his talent to the college realm. The player comparison for Ed Howard would be the Rangers own in Elvis Andrus as they are not elite, but they use their speed and their defense to prove their worth at the big league level.
