In this episode, I discuss my hiatus, why I took it, and why I feel it's important to give ourselves grace, permission, time, and space to integrate everything we're learning before we take action. The shake-ups continue as 2020 unfolds, and they don't seem to be slowing down. But there is a way to move forward mindfully, intentionally, and with response-ability.
I believe we discover that way for ourselves if we'll take the time to sit in the mess, integrate our education & our complicity, and let something real, deep, hefty and grounding grow within us...something that can withstand and outlast the waves of sacrifice and inconvenience that will come against our newfound lessons and convictions...
In the end, if we're able to find that way, and pass on new, more whole, healing, and restorative agreements to those who come after us (compared to the perpetually harmful agreements that have been passed down to us), then that conviction births something that truly lasts and makes the way we live matter for good, instead of for harm.
