The year 2020 has brought many unexpected events and stress upon us that has accelerated life-change in society and in many cases how Christians relate to those around us. It is good for us to reflect and conduct our own spiritual inventory at the end of the year, but we can never leave out plans for what lies ahead. What will our devotional life look like? Where can I grow in areas of Bible reading, prayer, meditation, fasting, among other spiritual disciplines? Ephesians 5:16 states that we should make the most of our time because the days are evil. The idea here is the to "redeem" or buy back our time - let go of the things that steer our devotion away from Christ and grow upward in Him as His coming approaches. This lesson will give us reflections on time from saints of the past like Jonathan Edwards and David Brainerd, along with ideas to consider to assist with our spiritual growth. It also features a Scripture song on Psalm 90:12, 14-16 by Steve Hereford. Pastor Steve graciously gave 2Days Denarius permission to use this song in this episode from his recent Spotify album release titled, "Most of Our Time." Let's look ahead, plan, and commit ourselves to positive spiritual growth in 2021! Let us truly do our best to make the MOST of our time!
