Two of the world’s leading authorities on bariatric and metabolic surgery, the American Society of Metabolic and Bariatric surgery (ASMBS) and the International Federation for the Surgery of Obesity and Metabolic Disorders (IFSO), have issued new evidence-based clinical guidelines for the first time in 30 years!

The  2022 ASMBS and IFSO Updated Guidelines on Indications for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery by Dan Eisenberg et al. were published October 22, 2022 online  in the journals Surgery for Obesity and Related Diseases (SOARD) and Obesity Surgery.
