Tyler Moore is a junior at Northwood Temple Academy in Fayetteville, North Carolina, where he maintains a 4.3 GPA and plays on the varsity basketball team. On August 20th, 2024—just four days after turning 17—Tyler earned his private pilot’s license, an achievement that reflects both his discipline and passion for aviation. He currently has around 60 flight hours and is setting his sights on the United States Air Force Academy, where he hopes to continue his journey toward becoming a professional pilot.

Dr Jennifer Green is an award-winning Public Health Administrator. Earlier this year, she was the recipient of the 2025 American Medical Association Award for Outstanding Government Service. Gilbert spoke with her about the pullback on Federal funds, and vaccinations.

Mayor Mitch Colvin, a native of Fayetteville, has a passion for helping to improve the City and its citizens. That's why he's going for a fifth term. He was elected in November 2017 as the City's longest serving African-American mayor and is currently serving his fourth term. Prior to that, he served two consecutive terms as a city council member for District 3 from 2013-15 and as Mayor Pro Tem from 2015-17.

Matt Lamb (Artistic Director/Second Stage/Education Director): Matt is thrilled to be returning to one of his favorite artistic homes, the Gilbert Theater after touring around the United States and Canada with another world-premiere Paw Patrol:LIVE! show, Heroes Unite! as Mayor Humdinger. Paw Patrol at Home is currently streaming on Paramount Plus. He originated the role in the national tour of Paw Patrol Live!: Race to the Rescue/Original cast of Paw Patrol Live!: The Great Pirate Adventure.

Off-Broadway credits include Frankenstein, the Musical as The Creature, The Phantom of the Opera as The Phantom for RWS Entertainment and Madame Tussauds. Regional: Imagination Stage, Pittsburgh CLO, Cape Fear Regional Theatre, and Temple Theater.

Matt studied Musical Theater at The Conservatory of Performing Arts at Point Park University.

VFW POST 670 HOSTS WELCOME HOME VIETNAM VETERANS LUNCHEON, EXPANDS CELEBRATION FOR 50TH ANNIVERSARY
 The Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 670 will host a three-day Welcome Home Vietnam Veterans Luncheon to honor those who served in the Vietnam War from March 27 to March 29. This event commemorates the 50th Anniversary of American combat troops withdrawing from Vietnam on March 30, 1973, a significant moment in U.S. history that resonates deeply with veterans and their families. The event will be held at VFW Post 670 on Doc Bennett Road and is open to all Vietnam veterans and Gold Star families, regardless of their VFW membership status.

34th Annual Cumberland County CROP Hunger Walk
The 34th annual Cumberland County CROP Hunger Walk will take place in downtown Fayetteville on March 30th.The event raises money to combat hunger and poverty both locally and globally.
The walk is open to the public, and individuals or teams can register for free.
Hundreds of us are expected to walk together in downtown Fayetteville on March 30, not just for exercise but to help feed people around the world.
But I guess we’ll get some exercise in, too.

The Honorable Toni King
Chief District Court Judge (D12) was appointed by Chief Justice Paul Newby on October 1, 2021, for a term expiring on September 30, 2024.
Judge King received her undergraduate degree in English language and literature from NCCU (1996). She earned her JD from NCCU and was admitted to the NC State Bar in 2000. Judge King was appointed the bench by Governor Perdue in 2009, and was elected to a full term in November 2010, and November 2014.
Also an active member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, INC.
