CITY LEADERS HOPE NEW FAYETTEVILLE CURFEW CURBS YOUTH GUN VIOLENCE. The Fayetteville Police Department is ready to begin enforcing the city’s new youth curfew on July 10… following a 30-day grace period to educate the public.  The mayor also gave some highlights about “Fayetteville 2050,” the city plan for growth and opportunities during the next 25 years.

Dominique Womack was crowned Miss Nubian Juneteenth this past weekend, and will represent on Juneteenth. The Miss Juneteenth pageant, specifically celebrates Black culture and heritage. By the way...Dominique is seen EVERYWHERE in the city at every event. AND, we're proud of her here at Cumulus Media....not only is she our Promotions Director (who plans all of our stations events and gives away cool stuff)) she's the only Rock & Roll Black woman on the radio throughout the Sandhills and beyond! Paul Williams tossed his hat into the race for Fayetteville Mayor a couple of weeks ago. He’s a former Fayetteville City Councilman. Williams outlined his campaign platform on Good Morning Fayetteville. Over the years, Hadeel Saud Tucker has had a recurring dream. Each time, she was alone in a large body of water and couldn’t figure out what to do. On Friday, September 27, she lived the dream as a real life nightmare. Here’s how Hadeel and her husband Nathan, an Army helicopter mechanic, came to be on top of a Swannanoa car wash, with racing flood waters inches away, all their belongings gone and with Hadeel clinging to their terrified cat. And also, how they ended up in Haywood County, appreciating the warmth of kind people who reached out to help.
