Ayn Rand was born in Russia in 1905. She was able to move to the US in the 1920s, and she remained there until her death in 1982. In this episode, I am reading a passage from her book, Atlas Shrugged. This book was written to help us contemplate and understand the importance of allowing individuals to pursue their own interests, and profit from their own efforts. This excerpt is known as “The Money Speech” by one of the characters named
Francisco. In this episode, I am just reading it. I will follow up with my own response to it in a later episode.
