For 40 years, Israel thrived in peace, only to be plunged into a crisis as the Midianites and others ravaged their land and economy for seven years. The Israelites were left powerless, much like many feel today amidst financial uncertainty.

This isn't just about ancient battles; it's about responding to adversity with faith. Gideon’s victory started with an offering, a sign of his trust in God. In our times, faced with economic hardship, we’re reminded that it’s our faith and response to God’s call that matter.

Today, we'll explore how Gideon’s faith and obedience can inspire us to face our challenges, expose and overcome fraud, and navigate economic pressures through spiritual resilience. Let's delve into how Gideon's journey can guide us in responding with faith in our own lives.

From COVID-19’s economic impact to soaring inflation, bank failures and global conflicts, we see the unstable foundation of today’s economy. Headlines about seized bank accounts, assets and Bitcoin highlight the precariousness of our financial systems.

Ultimately, money is spiritual. It represents trust and faith. Scriptures like Matthew 22:19-21 and Revelation 13:15-18 show that our relationship with money reflects our spiritual state. True treasure lies not in wealth but in faith.

Ayn Rand was born in Russia in 1905. She was able to move to the US in the 1920s, and she remained there until her death in 1982. In this episode, I am reading a passage from her book, Atlas Shrugged. This book was written to help us contemplate and understand the importance of allowing individuals to pursue their own interests, and profit from their own efforts. This excerpt is known as “The Money Speech” by one of the characters named

I delivered this sermon back in April of this year – 2023. This is just a small part of it dealing with the instability of world governments and economies. Everyone was concerned about Russia and Ukraine, but I said, things can easily accelerate, and What if this scenario played out… now we see some of it is. But are you ready for what I called “The Big One”? Thank you for listening.
