Reading: Acts 17:16-34

B – Be curious.

  1. Curiosity connects. Paul discovered much about the people of Athens. Many idols. How observant are we of the people and life around us? Curious before jumping to conclusions. Reasoning and debating were part of the culture of the people of Athens.
  • Curiosity shows genuine concern. Does our curiosity lead to genuine concern.
  • Curiosity breeds curiosity. Comments occur when making a point.
  • Curiosity needs care. It may lead to people feeling uncomfortable – and ourselves too.  The ALPHA course may be a way for people to ask questions without feeling uncomfortable.  
  • Curiosity is not a cure.  When people sneer, do not lose heart.
