205 – The Haitian Revolution, Pt 1: The Sacred Right of Property (teaser)

Listen Later

At the same time that in France, the Jacobins were declaring the universal rights of man, in the French slave colony of Saint Domingue, half a million human beings were being held as property, a sacred right. In this installment of their Revolution Series, the Wrong Boys explore the horrors of slavery, the hypocrisy of the French, and begin to tell the story of the most successful slave revolt in history, which would buck the white supremacist global order, and establish a new and independence nation, the first to abolish slavery in North America.
