It genuinely feels like one of those "Christianese" statements that church people love to say without fully understanding what it means. It seems strange to be telling Joshua, who was one of the two spies, among the group of twelve, to see the promised land with the enemy as large as giants, yet report to Moses that they could take the land. You're telling Joshua, who hasn't demonstrated any lack of strength or courage in any aspect of his life, to be strong and courageous. So…what is the Lord saying?
