#21. The 3 things I find hardest about comp prep

Listen Later

The comp prep phase, or period of time leading into a body building competition where competitors enter a calorie deficit (or period of lower energy availability) with the goal of losing body fat and achieving the level of conditioning and leanness required for their category, is not all sunshine and rainbows!

Often the better we look, the worse we can start to feel.

In this episode I go through some of the more challenging experiences of the comp prep phase, and the sometimes negative consequences that come with spending an extended period of time at low energy availability.

Tune in to find out what 3 things I find most hardest about comp prep, and what steps I take to try and minimise the effect they have on me.

If you're looking to compete in your first body building show, this episode is must listen.
