Comprised of veterans from Australia's metal underground, Nocturnal Graves are adherents of the speed-obsessed, Satan-infused early years of death and black metal.

I spoke with Nocturnal Graves drummer/vocalist/founder Jarro "Nuclear Exterminator" Raphael about his various roles in the band's recording line-up, and how their sound has evolved over the years. We also talked about the classic death/thrash albums that influenced the "organic" sound of the latest Nocturnal Graves album, An Outlaw's Stand, and what the band has planned for their upcoming 20th anniversary.
