When you're in a relegation battle, you have to win at all costs. In West Ham's case, the cost of Sunday's victory over Southampton was the sheer lack of optimism the performance gave the fanbase that it will be the game to spark a recovery.
We simply had to beat Southampton to avoid slipping to the bottom of the table, instead climbing as high as 14th and a point above the bottom three. But the performance wasn't exactly mind-blowing. If anything, it was mind-numbing.
But the three points are all that matter as we attempt to avoid the drop.
Now we face two very difficult Premier League games in the space of a few days; first up is the visit of Newcastle in Stratford on Wednesday night before we travel to west London to take on Fulham at Craven Cottage on Saturday afternoon.
Joining us this week to preview both games is The Sun's Head of Sport and huge Newcastle fan, Shaun Custis, and Dom Betts from the Fulhamish Podcast.
Also this week, James and Will give their thoughts on the win over Southampton and also spend time debating the hot topic of the infamous 3pm blackout rule.
